Educational Program

"The World of Sounds"

"The World of Sounds" is a musical educational program for kindergarten and elementary school students, integrated into the curriculum.

The program invites students to a lively and experiential encounter with the world of music - through listening, storytelling, and direct encounters with musicians and works, accompanied by mediated guidance.

During the program, students embark on diverse musical journeys - to nature, to distant cultures, and to the world of dance. Through these journeys, they discover the power of music to move, intrigue, arouse imagination, and connect worlds.

The educational programs were developed by Dr. Ewa Brand and the team at the Institute for Integration at Bar Ilan University, and include rich and diverse pedagogical materials such as a teacher's guide, presentations, training courses, a website with games on the topics of the programs, and more.

All programs are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education's Music Supervision Department, and are written in full compliance with the Ministry of Education's music curriculum.

The Sounds of the Orchestra

The basis for the introduction to musical instruments is Prokofiev's well-known work, "Peter and the Wolf," in which the unique timbre of each instrument in the work stands out. At the same time, students hear a variety of other works, including Israeli songs.

Dances and Folk Songs

The program includes a rich selection of works by various composers, different periods and different styles, with a connection to the culture and society in which they grew. Dances and Folk Songs are especially loved by children because of their rhythm, which evokes both a physical and an emotional response.

Music and Nature

The program describes topics related to ecology and climate change through musical works written inspired by nature, including its living world: descriptions of landscapes, storms, cycles in nature and music, and works about animals.

Musical Trip Around the World

On the trip, students visit different countries and hear the folk music and artistic music of these places. And at the end of the trip, they return home, singing Israeli songs accompanied by the musicians.

The Nutcracker

A musical celebration for young students from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. The piece consists of short sections full of energy and rhythm. Through music, the children join a wonderful journey in the land of sweets and adventures.
